Lester Keith Piggott (born 1935) is a retired English professional flat racing jockey. He was famously tall for a jockey at 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m), which earned him the nickname 'The Long Fellow'. During his career, he won 4,493 races, including nine Epsom Derby victories. Piggott is widely regarded as one of the greatest flat racing jockeys of all time.

Piggott retired as a jockey at the end of the 1985 flat season and became a horse trainer. His new career, however, was cut short when he was convicted of tax fraud and jailed in 1987. As a result, he was stripped of his OBE (Order of the British Empire) which he had been awarded in 1975. Piggott served a total of 366 days in prison.

In 1990, he resumed his career as a jockey, winning the Breeders' Cup Mile within ten days of his return. His last win in Britain was in October 1994 and he officially retired (again) in 1995.

Piggott rode several different horses, most notably Nijinsky and Sir Ivor. Nijinsky was a Canadian-bred, Thoroughbred racehorse, who had a total of ten major wins, although not all of them with Piggott as jockey. Sir Ivor was an American-bred Thoroughbred racehorse, who had a total of seven major wins.

Flat racing is the most common form of horse racing seen worldwide and usually takes place on an oval race course. They range in length between 440 yards (400 m) and two and a half miles (4 km).
