Howard Beale shouted "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore." and became famous and recognizable for this phrase. He is definitely the most remarkable character of "Network". The way he speaks, his appearance: wet raincoat, hair plastered to the forehead - all of that seems incredibly natural and outstanding. His speech is probably the most powerful scene of the whole film and one of the greatest in the history of movies.

"Network" was nominated for ten Oscars and won four! It took up a lot of urgent topics, including the decaying values of TV. Definitely, the movie was a sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
