Which of the following countries does not border the trans-boundary river Brahmaputra?
The trans-boundary river crosses at least one political border, either within a nation or an international boundary. The Brahmaputra is a trans-boundary river that flows through China, India and Bangladesh. It originates at the Angsi glacier located in Tibet, an autonomous region of China. Myanmar or Burma is bordered by Bangladesh and India to its northwest and China to its northeast and the Andaman sea and the Bay of Bengal to its south and southwest. After passing Tibet, Brahmaputra flows across the eastern extremity of the Himalayas and enters northeastern India. So Myanmar does not border Brahmaputra.
The Brahmaputra enters the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India, where it is called Siang. In Gauhati India, Brahmaputra cuts through the rocks of the Shillong Plateu and is at its narrowest at 1Km (1,100 yd). The environment of the Brahmaputra floodplains in Assam have been described as semi-evergreen forests ecoregion. In Bangladesh, the Brahmaputra is joined by the Teesta river and enters the plains after turning south around the Gazo Hills below Dhubri, India. It passes through Tibet along the Himalayas to cover the slopes of southwest of Lake Mansarovar in southwestern Tibet. This finding was done by the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications from Chinese Academy of Science (CAS).
