Guy Edward Pearce (born 5 October 1967) is an English-born Australian actor, musician, singer, and songwriter. Pearce started his career portraying Mike Young in the Australian television series "Neighbours". He also found roles in other television series such as "Home and Away" (1988) and "Snowy River: The McGregor Saga" (1993).

Pearce did not have a role in the Australian TV series "A Country Practice", which ran from 18 November 1981 to 5 November 1994. The show was made at both ATN-7's production facility at Epping, New South Wales with exterior locations filmed in Pitt Town, and in Oakville in the outskirts of Northwest Sydney, Australia.

Several of the regular cast members became highly popular celebrities as a result of their roles in the series. It also featured a number of native Australian animals, particularly the iconic 'Fatso the wombat' adding to its enduring appeal both domestically and internationally.

Pearce received international attention for his breakout role in "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" (1994) and subsequently took starring roles in Curtis Hanson's "L.A. Confidential" (1997), Christopher Nolan's "Memento" (2000) and Simon Wells's "The Time Machine" (2002).
