All of the options besides Malta are countries that are found in Africa. Malta is an island nation home to 535,000 citizens as of 2023. It’s located in the Central Mediterranean between the North African Coast and Sicily.

Since it’s discovery in around 5,900 B.C.E. Malta has been claimed by several nations and peoples. Malta has been controlled by the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, the French, and many more. Its latest ruler was the British. From between Malta’s transformation into a British colony in 1813 and the confirmation of that in the Treaty of Paris in 1814, all the way to 1964, it had been under British rule. Malta was able to gain its independence from Britain in the September of 1964.

The island nation is most well-known for having several historic sites and having shots taken in many films such as: “World War Z” (2013), “Jurassic World: Dominion” (2022), and “The Da Vinci Code” (2006).
