Which one of these dogs belonged to Adolf Hitler?
Blondi, born in 1941, was a German Shepard dog, gifted to Adolf Hitler as a puppy from Martin Bormann. Blondi was known to be Hitler’s favourite dog, and he kept the Blondi even after his move into the Führerbunker.
But on 29 April 1945, one day before his death, Hitler expressed doubts about the cyanide capsules he had received through Heinrich Himmler. To verify the capsules' effectiveness, Hitler ordered one to be tested on Blondi, who died as a result.
“Blondi's death had affected the people in the bunker more than Eva Braun's suicide,” said Erna Flegel, a German nurse.

The estimates I have seen suggest that about 75 million people died during WWII due to combat, disease, famine, or acts of genocide. The Soviets lost about 27 million people. Hitler was responsible for killing about 6 million Jews, 3.3 million Soviet POWs, 1.8 million Poles, maybe 500,000 Romani, more than 300,000 Serbs, about 300,000 people with disabilities, about 1700 Jehovah's Witnesses, tens of thousands of political opponents and career criminals, probably thousands of men accused of being gay or bisexual, and an unknown number of Blacks who had resided in Germany.
And one German Shepard.
Blondi had had puppies several weeks before she was poisoned (Hitler had planned to kill her, regardless, so that she wouldn't fall into Soviet hands). One of his minions killed all the puppies and the other pet dogs of the Nazis in the bunker after Hitler's suicide.
