Which two bodies of water are connected by the Suez Canal?
The Suez Canal is located in Egypt. This artificial waterway connects the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea through the Isthmus of Suez. Its construction lasted almost for a decade and was finished on the 17th of November, 1869. It shortens the route by about 4 thousand miles, which annually helps more than 15 thousand ships to save plenty of time and money and travel from Europe to South Asia.
