Which US state grows coffee commercially?
Hawaii is famous worldwide for its beautiful beaches, incredible nature and amazing landscapes. It is also the only State in the U.S that grows coffee commercially. Coffee can be harvested here year-round!
The coffees grown in the Kona growing area of the Big Island remain the most famous ones now. However, coffee is grown on other parts of the Big Island as well as all of the major islands of Hawaii, including Kauai, Maui, Oahu, and Molokai. Each coffee variety is different and has its own distinctive qualities and taste. A lot of different methods of growing and processing coffee are used in local coffee production.
Coffee is also grown in Puerto Rico, a USA territory in the northeastern Caribbean.

hubertbrown, I don't think this is the right forum to discuss PR politics, but I want to clarify that there has been 6 non-binding, referendum since 1967, not 1. The power to grant statehood lies with the US Congress. So, the Puerto Ricans haven't been able to vote for realistic options. The referendums have been a political game, worded each time to benefit the different agendas. I don't know which is your source, but on the last two referendums pro statehood won. Why do you think that half of the Puerto Ricans moved to live in continental USA, where they pay federal taxes? What benefits are they getting in US, that they were not getting in their beloved island?

I think it's cool that Hawaii does grow coffee I like to know what company it is is it Folgers or what you know like soldiers or what another name of coffee that's the only thing I can think of

puetoRico,did vote once on becoming the 51'S State and voted against it .they still get all the same benefits ,welfare ,disability .why would they want to change it they don't pay federal taxes
