Who composed 'The Nutcracker'?
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky is one of the best-known composers of all time. He dedicated his life to music and made a large contribution in the world's classical repertoire.Tchaikovsky was a student of Saint Petersburg Conservatory and a respected teacher of the the Moscow Conservatory since 1866. Teaching other musicians and sharing his precious experience, Tchaikovsky was still creating new concertos and symphonies.
In 1892, Tchaikovsky composed a two-act ballet Nutcracker. This classical ballet danced to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score is widely considered one of the greatest and most popular works of art in history.
