Being a pioneer is always a hard challenge. It seems like all the things and phenomena are already discovered and investigated. So people give up looking for knowledge on Earth and set their minds free to study faraway cosmic objects.

Clyde Tombaugh did the impossible thing. Born in a poor family with no resources to give him a fine education he, nevertheless, was the one to enter the history of our planet as an outstanding astronomer. In childhood, his passion for astronomy made him construct a telescope of his own as he had no money to buy it!
