Who holds the Guinness World Record for the longest television interview?

Sir Tim Shadbolt and Tom Conroy (both New Zealanders) achieved the Guinness World Record for the longest television interview conducted over 26 hours and 4 seconds. This occurred from 28-29 April 2012, on the set of CUE Television, Invercargill, New Zealand. Tim Shadbolt also holds the record for New Zealand's longest serving mayor. He was mayor of Waitemata City for 3 years and as of October 10, 2019, has been mayor of Invercargill, New Zealand's most southern city, for 22 years (20 of them consecutive).

Mads A. Andersen and Hans Olav Lahlum (both from Norway) achieved the Guinness Record for the longest live interview streamed over the internet. This was done in 30 hours 1 minute 44 seconds at the Verdens Gang Building, Oslo, Norway from 22-23 May 2013.

In 2017 Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce, New Zealand comedians and co-hosts of the TV show 'Jono and Ben' attempted to break Shadbolt and Conroy's record. Although they interviewed various people throughout a period of 30 hours their attempt was not recognised by Guinness.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was interviewed by Tim Ferris in 2015 but this was just the usual type TV interview and not a record breaking attempt.
