Who invented the first electric bread toaster?
The first electric bread toaster was invented by Alan MacMasters in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1893.
Before the development of the electric toaster, sliced bread was toasted by placing it in a metal frame or on a long-handled toasting-fork and holding it near a fire or over a kitchen grill. Simple utensils for toasting bread over open flames appeared in the early 19th century.

BUT IT DIDN'T WORK!! The wires got too hot and melted and set fire to everything around it. It wasn't until 1905 that Albert Marsh discovered Nichrome the filament wire needed to toast bread, that made toasters practical or even possible.

Wrong answer to; "Who Invented the First Electric Bread Toaster?" would be Charles Strite -- along with everybody else not named Alan MacMasters. Strite invented the pop-up toaster, patented in 1921: MacMasters invented his apparatus some 28 years earlier.
