The meeting room of the House of Commons of the British Parliament has strict rules about any consumption of alcohol by any members, even the invited persons. However, every rule has an exception. The Chancellor is the only person that has permission to drink any type and amount of alcohol while he or she is addressing the annual draft budget for next year. Some have opted to whisky, gin and tonic, brandy and water, spritzer, sherry, beaten egg; and some decided not to go overboard and preferred water.
