Who is the Hubble Space Telescope named after?
Hubble Space Telescope was named after the famous scientist Edwin P. Hubble (1889-1953) because he was the one who made the discovery that our universe was expanding. The telescope orbits the earth in a position just above its atmosphere. This position enables the telescope to get unique views of the universe without any distortion unlike any telescope on the ground.
