Ronald Wilson Reagan was the 40th President of the United States, a Hollywood actor and union leader. His office presidency lasted from 1981 to 1989. Mr. Reagan biography is well-known to the American residents. In 1940 Reagan married Jane Wyman, an American singer, dancer and actress. After arguments about Reagan's political ambitions, Wyman filed for divorce in 1948 citing a distraction due to her husband's Screen Actors Guild union duties; the divorce was finalized in 1949. Ronald Wilson Reagan is the only US president to have been divorced. In 1952 he married actress Nancy Davis. They had two children and lived together until Reagan's death in 2004. After her husband's death, Nancy led active political and social life, particularly relating to stem cell research.
