Who is the only US president to have registered a patent with the USPTO for his invention?
The only US patent registered to a President belonged to Abraham Lincoln. Patent number 6,469 was issued on the 22nd of May, 1849 to the President for his invention for lifting boats over shoals and obstructions in rivers. He decided to invent such a mechanism when his own boat got hung up on obstructions several times.

At first I thought it might be Jefferson and then thought about it some more. Then I remembered reading books about Lincoln and remembered about something he invented about boats. So I chose Lincoln.

My guess was Jefferson since he had invented so many things that are still on display at his home of Monticello.

I agree it's a bit of fun if you Google what's the point. Sometimes I get a lucky guess sometimes not. I am surprised at how many my brain knows though
