Who are the parents of Persephone?
Persephone, also called Kore or Cora, is the daughter of Zeus and the harvest goddess Demeter, and is the queen of the underworld. Homer describes her as the formidable, venerable majestic princess of the underworld, who carries into effect the curses of men upon the souls of the dead.

Demeter’s daughter, Kore was kidnapped by Hades and after Deméter went on a strike which brought famine, they negotiated that she would spend 6 months as Persephone with Hades (fall and winter) and 6 month (spring and summer) with her mother as Kore.
