Ronald Charles Colman was born on the 9th of February, 1891. He became a prominent English actor, eapecially popular during the 1930s and 1940s. Colman's performance in A Double Life, his best known 1947 movie, earned him an Oscar for Best Actor. The actor received numerous nominations for his brilliant work in such motion pictures Condemned (1929), Bulldog Drummond (same year), and Random Harvest (1942). Colman also starred in several classic films, including A Tale of Two Cities (1935), Lost Horizon (1937) and The Prisoner of Zenda (1937). Colman was usually referred to as the "Gentleman of the Cinema". He died in 1958 in Santa Barbara.
