The big-screen actor who played the role of Ike Turner in the 1993 film "What's Love Got to Do With It" is Laurence Fishburne. Fishburne was born and named Laurence John Fishburne III on July 30, 1961. He has now become a successful and popular American actor, playwright, producer, screenwriter, and film director.

For his portrayal of Ike Turner in "What's Love Got to Do With It", Fishburne was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor. Fishburne played Bill Foster in the 2018 film "Ant-Man and the Wasp", a film coming from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
