"Torpedo Alley" is a 1952 American war film directed by Lew Landers and starring Mark Stevens, Dorothy Malone and Charles Winninger.

Aircraft carrier pilot Lt. Bob Bingham (Mark Stevens) is rescued at sea by a submarine after his plane crashes, killing his two crew. He shortly after he requests service on a submarine.

At the training base in New London, Connecticut, he reacquaints himself with Commander Heywood (James Millican) and Lt. Gates (Douglas Kennedy), the captain and engineering officer of the submarine that rescued him at sea. He falls in love with Navy nurse Lt. Susan Peabody (Dorothy Malone), daughter of Petty Officer Peabody (Charles Winninger).

Heywood gets command of a submarine when the Korean War breaks out and Bingham is part of the officer group.

Dorothy Malone (born Mary Dorothy Maloney; January 29, 1924 – January 19, 2018) was an American actress. Her film career began in 1943, and in her early years, she played small roles, mainly in B-movies. After a decade, she changed her image, particularly after her role in "Written on the Wind" (1956), for which she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

Her career reached its peak by the beginning of the 1960s, and she achieved later success with her television role as Constance MacKenzie on "Peyton Place. Less active in her later years, her last screen appearance was in "Basic Instinct" in 1992. She had been one of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood.
