Who said "A party without a cake is just a meeting"?
Julia Child said some wonderful things, especially while she was learning French cuisine and living in France. "In the 1960's, you could eat anything you wanted, and of course people were smoking cigarettes and all kinds of things, and there was no talk about fat and anything like that, and butter and cream were rife. Those were lovely days for gastronomy, I must say."

She was GREAT ! She would drink a half a bottle of wine , add the rest to her recipe, went to France & learned from the best chefs. Truly entertaining to watch.

I KNOW she was an amazing chef but I will never forget the show where she was drunk and cut herself badly. Unfortunately I think many of us will remember that one.
