Elizabeth Montgomery was destined to be in show business. She was born in April of 1933 to a very famous father, Robert Montgomery (often referred to as a matinee idol), and a mother who was a retired Broadway star, Elizabeth Daniel Bryan Allen.

While Elizabeth worked in stage, television, and film productions from the early 1950s, she is best known for the television series, Bewitched, which ran from 1964 to 1972.

She was married four times. Her first marriage was to Frederick Gallatin Cammann in 1954. They were both 21 years old - young by today's standards, but not for the 1950s. They met when Frederick worked on her father's TV show. She cited "cruelty" as the reason for the divorce. He said, “She thought her career demanded that she head back to Hollywood and I didn’t see how I could fit in out there.”

Her second husband was a much older man, but one in show business - Gig Young. Sadly, Gig had alcohol and mental health issues and the marriage didn't last. In a tragic end, Gig shot his fourth wife and then himself in 1978.

Number three was William (Bill) Asher. They produced Bewitched together as well as three children, and were happy for quite a few years. Sadly, it didn't last - both had affairs. Bill always said she was the love of his life.

After 20 years of living with him, Elizabeth married actor Robert Foxworth, in 1993. They had met on the set of TV film, Mrs. Sundance.

Elizabeth died of colon cancer in 1995 - she was only 62 years old.
