Christopher Nicholas Parsons (10 October 1923 – 28 January 2020) was an English actor, straight man and radio and television presenter. He never presented "The Generation Game". He was the long-running presenter of the comedy radio show "Just a Minute" and hosted the game show "Sale of the Century" during the 1970s and early 1980s.

"The Generation Game" is a British game show produced by the BBC in which four teams of two people from the same family, but different generations, compete to win prizes.

Bruce Forsyth was the first host of the show from 1971 to 1977. "The Generation Game" was one of the strongest shows in the BBC's Saturday night line-up, and became the number-one game show on British television during the 1970s, regularly gaining over 21 million viewers.

Larry Grayson took over the show in 1978 and hosted it till 1982. The show reached its peak under Grayson. It attracted an audience of 25 million on one occasion, when a strike blacked out the ITV network, meaning the two BBC channels were the only ones the public could watch.

The show was cancelled in the early 1980s returning in 1990 with original host, Bruce Forsyth. In 1995 Jim Davidson replace Forsyth. The show was axed in 2002.
