Who was the first person to survive a barrel ride over the Niagara Falls?
October 24th, 1901
This incredible woman ventured to do this potentially lethal trick at the age of 63! She was the first person to take such a risk. The sad thing is that before having performed the "journey" herself, she sent a poor domestic cat to make the first attempt. The creature survived the plunge but Annie described her own crazy attempt is the worst experience in her life. And now try to imagine the sufferings of the poor cat!
