With which band did Ronan Keating come to fame?

Ronan Keating (born 1977) is an Irish singer who came to fame in 1994 as a lead singer in the Irish pop group Boyzone. In 1999, Keating began a solo singing career and, as of 2021, has recorded eleven albums. Keating's success as a solo star began with his number one single 'When You Say Nothing at All', which featured in the 1999 film 'Notting Hill'.

When Boyzone formed, Keating was only 16 years old, making him the youngest member of the band. They began by singing in pubs and clubs before being signed by the record label PolyGram in 1994.

Between 1994 and 1999, Boyzone released 17 singles, 3 studio albums and 1 compilation album. They disbanded in 2000 but reformed seven years later. In 2009, fellow band mate Stephen Gateley died of a pulmonary edema. After this, Keating worked on his solo career, whilst joining his remaining band mates for tours.

Boyzone's last album 'Thank You & Goodnight' was released in 2018, the year of their 25th anniversary. Fans are hoping the band will reform in 2024 for their 30th anniversary.

Keating married Yvonne Connolly in 1998 and had three children, Jack, Marie and Ali. The couple divorced in 2010 after Keating had an affair with a Boyzone backing dancer. Later that year, Keating met Storm Uechtritz, who he went on to marry in 2015. They have two children, Cooper and Coco.
