You are getting enough sleep at the moment.
The NHS recommends that most adults need around 8 hours sleep a night. Older adults also require 8 hours of sleep, but this will become more broken, with one period of deep sleep and then waking frequently throughout the night after that.
To ensure that you continue to get enough sleep, the NHS says to make sure your bedroom is quiet, the correct temperature and if you are sharing a bed, ensure that your partner isn't disrupting your sleep. Also make sure that your mattress supports you properly.
Get some exercise. Don’t overdo it, but try some regular swimming or walking. And take some time to relax properly before going to bed.
R.I.P. Tasha the Cavalier, if you have a diffuser try some lavender essential oil. Lavender helps trigger the relaxation centers of the brain. Or a couple of drops on a q tip than run it across your pillow.
Alas I have to resort to certain medication to help me sleep at night, otherwise I spend the whole night awake and having a mental illness does not help.
