Trixie - Rose, the area of a kite is half of length x breadth. A = 1/2(LxB) thus 1/2(15x6) = 1/2(90) = 45

R Yancey, even easier is that the area of a kite is half of length x breadth. A = 1/2(LxB) or LxB/2 1/2(15x6) = 1/2(90) = 45 or 15x6/2 = 15x3 = 45

When I took the GSCEs - they were called O' levels - in 1967. I can remember, Maths, English, Biology, French, Latin and Art. Later on I did O' levels in Italian and Classical Hebrew. I know that I didn't do chemistry or physics and at our school we didn't do History - I did History for A' level. I know that I ended up with altogether 9. Maybe English literature and English language were considered two subjects. I did really badly in this test.

To Trixie - Rose The answer to question number 4 is not 90 cubic centimeters. If you draw a line horizontally through the center of the figure you get two triangles that are identical. The formula for the area of a triangle is base X height / 2. In this case 15 cm X 3 cm / 2 which equals 22.5 cubic centimeters. Since there are two identical triangles the total area of the trapezoid figure is 45 cubic centimeters.
