All present and correct. Astronomy was one of the things my late mother got me interested in when I was old enough, being disabled with cerebral palsy having survived meningitis when I was one-year-old. Her father, who was born in London in1862 and came to New Zealand when a teenager developed his interest in the 1888s, I think. He later began making his own telescopes, the largest of which, a reflector, was then the largest in the Southern Hemisphere with a 22.5. inch (57.15cm) mirror His main observing interest was in observing and cataloguing double stars (binaries). The observatory he had constructed for him is located in the NZ city of Whanganui, the Ward Observatory, and has an A listing with the historic places organisation, Heritage New Zealand. I am not an astronomer myself but have a profound interest in the subject.
