Почему кнут издаёт такой громкий звук?
Каждый раз, во время хлыста кнута, слышен яркий и громкий звук. Почему?
"Треск" кнута происходит потому что конец кнута движется быстрее скорости звука, создавая маленький звуковой удар. В 1958 году этот факт был подтверждён при анализе нескольких высокоскоростных теневых фотографий, сделанных в 1927 году.
Недавно, было сделано ещё одно открытие, в котором подтвердилось что самый кончик кнута движется в два раза быстрее чем дуга этого кончика.
