8 NFL quarterbacks have thrown 7 touchdown passes in a single game. Which one of these did not?
At his final retirement, Farve owned or shared 370 NFL records and still owned/shared 171 as of October 23, 2017, including pass completions and attempts (6,300 of 10,169), interceptions (336), and game starts (298). He is the only quarterback in league history to win the Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player award and the only one to win a playoff game after age 40.
Nevertheless, in the best touchdown-tossing game of his NFL career, Brett “Gunslinger” Favre threw (one shy of the record) six TDs as his New York Jets defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 56 to 53, on September 28, 2008, at home.
Drafted in 1991 by Atlanta, he played in only two games, completed no passes, threw two interceptions, and was traded to the Green Bay Packers, where he played most of his career. He retired after the 2007 season, un-retired to play for went the Jets in 2008 season, then retired and un-retired again, playing his last season in 2009 for the Minnesota Vikings.
