There are 304 cities and state capitals in the United States with a population of at least 100,000 on July 1, 2015, as estimated by the United States Census Bureau. Delaware, Maine, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming do not have cities with populations of 100,000 or more.
Of the top twenty most populous cities in the U.S. there are six that are from the state of Texas. The six cities of Texas are listed below with their ranking and population estimate as of 2015:

vasily tchaikovsky, i was stationed in el paso in 77/78. i really liked the southwest. its the only state at that time i drove over 800 miles and was still in the same state. lol.

I've lived in Texas 3 different times... and I've watched those cities grow. This was easy for me. By the way, glad I now live in a very small rural city in the Ozarks. So peaceful here!
