“La Noblesse du Temps” (The Nobility of Time) is located in Plaça de la Rotonda in the heart of Andorra Vella, the capital city of Andorra. A country located between Spain and France.

The sculpture was made by the legendary artist Salvador Dali, and it symbolizes the passing of time, which dominates over humanity.

The bronze sculpture was cast in 1984, and has visited many cities before being permanently installed in the city’s square around 2010. Standing some 16-feet tall (5 meters) and weighing 3086 lbs (1,400 kilograms), it was gifted to the government of Andorra by Enric Sabater, who was Dali’s agent between 1968 and 1982.

Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech (11 May 1904 – 23 January 1989), known as Salvador Dalí was a Spanish surrealist artist renowned for his technical skill, precise draftsmanship, and the striking and bizarre images in his work.

Born in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain, Dalí received his formal education in fine arts in Madrid. In the late 1920s and joined the Surrealist group in 1929, soon becoming one of its leading exponents.

His best-known work, "The Persistence of Memory", was completed in August 1931, and is one of the most famous Surrealist paintings.

Dalí's older brother, who had also been named Salvador (born 12 October 1901), had died of gastroenteritis nine months before his birth, on 1 August 1903. Dalí was haunted by the idea of his brother throughout his life, mythologizing him in his writings and art.
