Hasan Raza, born March 11, 1982, was a cricketing child prodigy for Pakistan. At the remarkable age of 14 years and 227 days, he made his Test debut in 1996 against Zimbabwe at Pakistan's Faisalabad stadium. As of July 2020, he is the youngest cricketer ever to play in the test match format of the sport.

The Pakistan Cricket Board selected Hasan Raza following promising first class appearances in 1996 which saw the player score 217 runs at a good average of 43.40.

However, his relatively poor performance in the test match against Zimbabwe ( he scored 27 runs ) saw him dropped for the next match. He only played 6 further test matches scoring another 207 runs at a relatively modest average of 26.11.

Hasan Raza also played in 16 one day internationals but also failed to impress in this format of the game, and his highly anticipated international career never materialised.

Pakistan has always had a strong ethos in 'blooding' young cricketers. Prior to Hasan Raza, the Pakistan cricketer Mushtaq Mohammed held the record as the youngest test match player at the age of 15 years and 124 days. Aaqib Javed and Aftab Baloch also played in their first test matches at the ages of 16 years and 189 days, and 16 years and 221 days respectively.
