Bats always turn right when exiting a cave.
Bats are unique animals as they are the only mammals that move by echolocation. There is a general agreement among bat scientists that bats tend to turn left when leaving a cave. This has been explained to be so because bats generally move by sensing echoes and thus in order to get out there should be a system to avoid collisions. However this assertion is also contentious but as stated, the one unique thing about bats is in the way they sense direction when leaving caves.
What are your thoughts on this subject?

Bats are not the only mammals that use echolocation. Whales and dolphins do as well.

Well, no matter which way they go, we know they don't ALWAYS turn right. Apparently, though, it is urban myth that they always go left.

So if these bats generally move by 'sensing echoes' on the left they will all go left. What a load of cobblers. Watching bats many times, though I must admit only on TV, I have seen bats follow each other out of the caves and appear to go in all directions so eagles and other birds don't catch them

I selected true because in Texas at the Congress Street Bridge when the bats come out from under it they go right! And not left so that's a lot of bats and they all go the same direction and one big Corkscrew motion. Thousands and thousands and thousands🤔
