In the ABC 2002 - 2010 TV series "Lost", Drive Shaft was the name of the rock band that included Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan). He and his older brother Liam Pace founded this band. They named the band for their great-grandfather (Dexter Stratton), whose initials appeared on an heirloom ring passed down to the brothers. Drive Shaft as a musical band was a strong quartet when it performed on stage.

This band found great international fame after its first hit song "You All Everybody" obtained real and overwhelming public acceptance. The band ultimately decided to prominently feature the song on their self-titled debut album. When they released a follow-up album, "Oil Change", it was not a success like the song "You All Everybody".

After Charlie's apparent death in the Oceanic 815 plane crash, the band was able to find much more work and notoriety. They even held a large memorial service for Charlie and released a greatest hits collection. It sold well and made money.

On the Island. Charlie often mentioned his career as a musician to others. Kate found something familiar about him and was impressed to learn he was a member of Drive Shaft. Locke, a fan of Charlie's band, said he preferred their debut album to "Oil Change". Naomi who eventually came to Island told Charlie about the band's renewed popularity in light of the plane crash. While on the Island, Charlie tried to write some new music, including the song "Monster Eats the Pilot". It was used in the TV series.
