'I Dream of Jeannie' is an American fantasy sitcom television series starring Barbara Eden as a 2,000-year-old genie and Larry Hagman (Major Tony Nelson) as an astronaut who becomes her master, with whom she falls in love and eventually marries. Produced by Screen Gems, the show originally aired from September 18, 1965, to May 26, 1970. The show ran for five seasons and 139 episodes were produced.

Bill Daily (born August 30, 1927) is an American actor, comedian and a veteran of many television sitcoms. He is known for playing astronaut Roger Healey on 'I Dream of Jeannie' and commercial airline navigator Howard Borden on 'The Bob Newhart Show'.

Major Roger Healey is the best friend of astronaut Major Tony Nelson, as well as a fellow astronaut and exploration partner in the NASA Space Exploration Program at Cape Kennedy, Florida. The part of Major Healey is played Bill Daily, who reprises the role for the two NBC-TV movie specials, 1985's 'I Dream of Jeannie... Fifteen Years Later', and 'I Still Dream of Jeannie in 1990'.

In season 1 it was established that Roger didn't know that Jeannie was a genie with magical powers but later seasons have Roger knowing all about Jeannie from the start.
