In the TV series, Matt Houston (Lee Horsley) stars as the heir of a Texas oil family who relocates to sunny California. He has gone to the West Coast or Pacific Coast to oversee his family's interests. Houston's tastes for adventure and crime solving often take precedence over his business ventures. Flying to and from criminal cases in a private helicopter, Houston works to solve many public and private human mysteries. Jas, You're absolutely right. I appreciate the deft correction. Often, when folks correct a factual error on this site, they body slam you. I should have said Davey Crockett. Fess Parker played both Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone on the werkly TV show. When I was a kid, Walt Disney had a series called "Legends and Heroes". Fess Parker played Davy Crockett on that series. Buddy Ebsen played his sidekick. Walt Disney brought great heroes to life. I remember my aunt buying me a powder horn and a coonskin hat!

Robert Oldenburg, He was the original Tin-Man in The Wizard of Oz, but had to drop out because of his allergy to the aluminum make-up. His voice lingers on in the movie soundtrack of the song We're Off to See the Wizard because that was recorded before he dropped out of the film.
