Why is the word "ensemble" used in this context? I knew an ensemble could perform a song...but didnt know a song could be an ensemble - "a group of musicians, actors, or dancers who perform <i.e..a song> together.

It is a 'song', 'tune' or a 'musical number', NOT an 'ensemble'. Also, "inspirational tune sounds... very inspiring" is redundant.

Irma Rivera, In the movie version, yes she was. She was not actually in the stage musical in 1959, as the movie came out in 1965. As Joanne Serin pointed out, Mary Martin was in the original Broadway musical. Julie Andrews is the one everyone remembers playing the role. She did not originate the role.
