Douglas Quaid has memories of a vacation implanted in his brain in the movie "Total Recall." What planet does he visit on his simulated vacation?

Doug Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger) in the film Total Recall (1990) has a false memory of a holiday on Mars implanted in his brain. He had the artificial memories of the vacation added because his life became hard to understand. Doug was haunted by a recurring dream about a journey to Mars. With the implants, he hoped to find out more about his dream vacation.

He buys a holiday at Rekall Inc. where they sell implanted memories. But something goes wrong with the memory implantation and he remembers being a secret agent fighting against the evil Mars administrator Cohaagen (Ronny Cox). At this point, the story really begins to roll, and it's a roller coaster ride until the massive end of this science fiction action movie.

In the end, after all the harrowing series of events that forced Doug Quaid to act and to go to Mars will he find real answers? Is the planet in this instance for real or has Doug made everything up?
