During the opening credits of the television show "Cheers", when the newspaper is held up saying "We Win" - who was it that won?
"Cheers" was an American sitcom which ran for eleven seasons from September 30, 1982, to May 20, 1993. The show is set in a Boston bar named "Cheers" where a group of not so typical locals met to relax, argue, insult each other and basically have a good time.
When "Cheers" was first being developed, a three-person film company Castle, Bryant, Johnsen got the assignment to create the main titles. One of the of 17 meticulously selected, hand-tinted engravings and photographs selected was the Brooklyn Eagle headline announcing the 1941 World Series win by the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Since then, the opening sequence they produced has become one of the most familiar 60 seconds in television history.
The 275 episodes became one of the most popular series of all time and received critical acclaim from its beginning to end.
