Forrest picks up a feather at the beginning of the film "Forrest Gump" and sticks it inside which book that he is holding?
When we first see Forrest in the film, he has a suitcase with him. In the case, it has some items which are about memories from his life. They included his ping-pong paddle and some magazines with Forrest and Lt. Dan on the cover. The useful items included his red Bubba Gump hat, toothpaste, and a couple of pairs of socks. Forrest also brought along his favorite book, 'Curious George', which he used to press the feather he has found between its pages.
Film critics tell us that "Forrest Gump" opens and closes with the image of a white feather floating through the air. In the opening, it comes to rest at Forrest's feet and he puts it in a book in his suitcase. At the end, it flies back up into the air, helping to symbolize the cycle that has now been completed. Specifically, the cycle of life and death, and one of new beginnings.
