In 1964-65 I was making .66/hour, after I graduated in ‘65 I got a civilian job at Selfridge Air Force Base making $3.50/hour, boy was I in the money then! However, I did not pass their health requirements for working in their food prep, so I lost that job!!! Oh well, I didn’t really like cooking anyway!
