How many amendments to the U.S. Constitution are there?

There are 27. The first 10 amendments to the Constitution make up the Bill of Rights and can be considered part of the original Constitution. Amendment 18 was repealed by Amendment 21, which means that in a span of more than two centuries, there have been only 15 amendments.

I'm getting tired of all the unnecessary political arguments that come from stink8ing trivia questions. We're supposed to have a good time with this, not use it for a plank in our platform. I'm a Libertarian and I got it right. Guess that makes me a closet republican. Oh wait. I'm for legalization of marijuana. Guess that makes me a Democrat. Elections for City and County next month. Who am I going to vote for now? waaah <---audible crying, must be a millenial, no I'm a baby-boomer. I hate to be assigned to a certain group.
