How many calories are in a normal sized 'lick and stick' glue on a postage stamp in the USA?
A US lick-and-stick postage stamp glue is 1/10 of a calorie. Don't worry; the US Post office says they are also gluten free. A British stamp of the same size is 5.9 calories. The larger commemorative British stamp can contain a whopping 14.5 calories.
Postage stamp glue in the US has to have FDA approval. It is the only glue that has to have such approval.
Sources also state that licking an envelope is 3-5 calories. It is also gluten free. The glue is made from mostly corn.
Thank goodness we can skip the calories with the self adhesive stamps that are now available.
