Poor question. Is it a dram in volume or mass? It it a British , Greek or Roman dram? If it is a modern dram of weight, there are 16 drams to an ounce.

I believe troy ounce is a different weight than imperial ounce. Troy is used in precious metals and imperial in all other weights

I went on a rather shaky memory, and from my youth I thought it was 16, when that wasn't there I thought it could be 14, but I'm pretty sure it was never 8, but drams weren't used much even in my youth. Unless you count the Scottish 'wee dram'.
