I loved Enid Blyton's Mallory Towers series. I wonder just how many books she must have written in her lifetime. Her typewriter must have been red hot!

I had the full set of hardbacks. Unfortunately they went a bit mouldy in the basement. Binned then a couple of months ago. Hated doing it.

Enid Blyton, popular writer and we were 'forced' to read them in Primary schools. Another series similar to FF, is the SS (Secret Seven).

I didn’t read those but read the Adventure series of books also by Enid Blyton. Still can’t part with them at age 75! I loved them!

Joanmusicmasters, you must not be British or part of the Commonwealth, as the rest of the world knows these well known books which have been children's favourites for over 60 years. My grandchildren now read them and love them. The children have adventures that don't involve adults interfering and this makes children feel empowered to take on their own adventures.
