There are twelve Federal Reserve Banks, one in each of the twelve Federal Reserve Districts. They were created by the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. The banks are jointly responsible for implementing the monetary policy set forth by the Federal Open Market Committee. They are: 1-Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, 2-Federal Reserve Bank of New York, 3-Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, 4-Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, 5-Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, 6-Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, 7-Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, 8-Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, 9-Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, 10-Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, 11-Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and 12-Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
