Born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr, : January 17 1942- June 3 1916 was an American boxer activist and philanthropist.

Cassius Clay changed his named to Muhammad Ali shortly after becoming a Black Muslim, The nation of Islam, It was Elijah Muhammad who gave Ali his name, it was changed shortly after the first Liston fight for the Heavyweight Title. Forever after he challenged his opponents, saying, ''what is my name" and punished them if they continued that tirade.

Ali continued fighting until his licence was revoked in 1967 and he couldn't fight again until 1970 when his licence was reinstated, His record was 61 fights, 56 wins, 37 by Ko and only 5 losses, to Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Leon Spinks, Larry Holmes and Trevor Berbick.
