C-3PO (short for Cyborg 3 Protocol) or See-Threepio, is a fictional character in the Star Wars series who features in the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy and the sequel trilogy. Developed by Anakin Skywalker, C-3PO was designed as a droid protocol intended to assist in etiquette, customs, and translation, bragging that it is "fluent in over six million forms of communication".

Along with his astromech droid counterpart and buddy R2-D2, C-3PO delivers comedic relief throughout the plot context of the film. Anthony Daniels played the character in ten of the eleven Star Wars movies that have been released to date, including Rogue One and The Clone Wars. C-3PO and R2-D2 are the only characters to feature in all movies except "Solo: A Star Wars Story" (2018).
