How many Mexican states border the US?

The six Mexican states that border the USA are Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas. They include 39 municipalities that touch the border.

I had no idea of how many states bordered the U.S.. In using the double chance, I started with five, with six being my second chance choice. I did know that four U.S. states border Mexico; California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas (with the longest of the borders).

Tal Segal, I think it's more likely that we, for whatever reason, didn't know how many states or that Mexico has states, regardless of where any of us happen to live in the world.
